2018 Speech National Qualifiers

Nat Quals this year was far better than last year. One major difference this year is that instead of Lincoln Douglas Debate (LD), I do Public Forum Debate (PF) now, and instead of United States Extemporaneous Speaking (USX), I do International Extemporaneous Speaking (IX). I had set myself a personal goal to win at least one round in debate due to my loss last year, and make it to finals in IX. My partner and I received 4th place in the tournament for PF, with a 4-2 record. Furthermore, I made it to finals in IX, placing 5th. Although I barely missed the qualification spot to Nationals this year, Nat Quals was quite an eventful tournament.
